High Court grants bail to Bharat Inder Chahal, close aide of Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh

Chandigarh News: While the Punjab government is preparing to declare Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, a close aide of former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, a proclaimed offender, the Punjab and Haryana Court has stayed Chahal’s arrest and granted him anticipatory bail. 
       A day earlier, the court had sought a response from the Punjab Police on the action being taken on Chahal.
      The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday issued notice to the Punjab and Haryana government on an anticipatory bail plea filed by Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, former advisor to former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, in a disproportionate assets case. The high court had asked the state government and the State Vigilance Bureau (SVB) Punjab to file their replies on the issue by Wednesday.
