Father, son arrested for firing at Shiv Sena leader

The father-son duo, who opened fire on Shiv Sena leader Ashwani Chopra in Ludhiana, have been arrested by the police. The Ludhiana police have arrested two accused in connection with the firing on Shiv Sena leader Ashwani Chopra in Ludhiana on Sunday. 

Police also recovered a 32 bore pistol, 28 cartridges and an empty cartridge from them.

The people of the area followed the father-son duo, who came with the intention of stealing the rickshaw, due to which they opened fire.

Sharing information about the matter, Commissioner of Police Kaustubh Sharma said that a case was registered by the police in connection with the firing of Shiv Sena leader Ashwani Chopra in Grewal Colony, which was thoroughly investigated with the help of CCTV cameras and the father-son duo were arrested, from whom light bore pistols and 28 cartridges were recovered.
