Youth shot dead by unidentified car-borne assailants in Punjab

Chandigarh: A youth in another car was shot dead by unidentified armed men in a car at the Goindwal-Fatehabad railway crossing around 9 am today, police said.

The assailants then fled from the spot. The slain youth was a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and was very active in political activities with the mla of the constituency these days.

The youth has been identified as Gurpreet Singh Gopi, a resident of Chohla Sahib. Police station Goindwal Sahib has taken possession of the body and started an investigation into the murder.
