First direct flight from Amritsar to Verona, Italy begins
New Delhi: In a bid to ease the travel of passengers from Punjab to Italy, Nios Airlines has started a direct flight from Amritsar to Verona city in Italy from today.
This is the first direct flight from Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport to Verona city across India. Earlier, there were no direct flights to this city anywhere in the country, but now it has been started by Nios Airlines.
At present, the flight is to be operated once a week and there are plans to increase the number to more than one in view of the demand of passengers in the future, officials said.
