Bittu, Raja Warring trade barbs after Congress leadership change in Punjab

Chandigarh: Political exchanges intensified after the Congress high command removed Amrinder Singh Raja Warring as Punjab Congress president, with BJP leader Ravneet Singh Bittu and Warring trading sharp remarks over the leadership change.

Reacting to the Congress decision, Bittu wrote on X that the move reflected Rahul Gandhi’s “use and throw” policy.

Responding to Bittu, Warring said he was not an opportunist but a loyal soldier of the Congress. He advised Bittu against “messing with the wrong person” and said Rahul Gandhi was not only his leader but also a leader of the country.

Warring said Gandhi was the only person who inspired a sense of hope and added that he had stood by him during both good and difficult times and would continue to do so in the future
