New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar entered its 33rd day on Wednesday, with thousands of demonstrators gathering at the site, including people who were injured during the police action at the Parliament march on July 20.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police has registered 10 FIRs in connection with the violence that erupted during the “Chalo Parliament” march. According to officials, four cases have been registered at Parliament Street Police Station, three at Connaught Place Police Station, and one each at Mandir Marg, Barakhamba Road and Kartavya Path police stations.
The FIRs include allegations of assault on Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel, stone-pelting, vandalism and obstructing public servants from performing their duties.
According to sources, Union ministers J.P. Nadda and Jitendra Singh met social activist Sonam Wangchuk late on Tuesday night at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.
Wangchuk has been on an indefinite hunger strike since June 28. He was shifted from Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta on Tuesday following directions issued by the Delhi High Court, where he continues to receive medical care while maintaining his fast.
