AAP leaders observe mass hunger strike to protest Kejriwal’s arrest

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and several other AAP leaders today sat on a mass hunger strike at Khatkar Kalan, the village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, to protest against the arrest of party national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The main leaders of the party went on a hunger strike in several states for a day. He said that today prominent leaders of the party gathered at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

The party leaders said similar protests are being held by nationals in other states as well as abroad, including Harvard Square in Boston, Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles, outside the Indian Embassy in Washington, New York Times Square and several places, including Toronto, London and Melbourne.

In Delhi, several senior AAP leaders, including Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel, vice-president Rakhi Bidlan, ministers Atishi, Gopal Rai and Imran Hussain, sat on a mass hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in the national capital at 11 am.
