Amritsar-Delhi highway to be costlier from today, Ladowal toll hiked Rs 15, Karnal by Rs 10

Punjab E News: Travel on the Amritsar-Delhi six-lane highway has become expensive from today. Tax rates have been increased in two toll plazas on the Amritsar-Delhi National Highway – Ladowal in Ludhiana and Karnal in Haryana. 
      The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has increased the toll at Ladowal (Ludhiana) by Rs 15 and Bastara (Karnal) toll by Rs 10.
       From today, Rs 165 will be charged for a single trip for a car-jeep at Ladowal toll. For multiple trips in 24 hours, you will have to pay Rs 245, while the monthly pass will be made for Rs 4930. 
      Similarly, for light commercial vehicles, a single trip on this toll will be Rs 285 and multiple trips in 24 hours will be Rs 430. For this category of vehicle, the monthly pass fee will be Rs 8625.
       At Ladowal toll, trucks and buses will have to pay Rs 575 for a single trip, Rs 860 for a 24-hour multiple trip and Rs 17,245 for a monthly pass. Similarly, double axle trucks will be charged Rs 925 for a single trip and Rs 1,385 for multiple trips in 24 hours. While the monthly pass for this category of vehicles will be Rs 27720.
