Behbal Kalan firing victims: AAP MLA Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh accused of influencing investigation in case
Punjab News: Sukhraj Singh, who is leading the Insaaf Morcha and the victims of the Behbal Kalan firing incident linked to the infamous Bargari sacrilege incident in Punjab, filed a petition in the Faridkot court alleging that fomer IG and currently Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Amritsar Assembly Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh influencing the investigation of the case. He has requested the central government to intervene in this important issue and get justice considering the seriousness of the case.
Sukhraj Singh and his lawyer Harpal Singh said that the SIT was formed last year to probe the Behbal Kalan firing incident, which was headed by the then IG Kunwar Vijay Pratap. He unnecessarily attempting to twist the case. The statements of witnesses were also twisted. There is a demand to re-record these statements.
Sukhraj Singh said that even though they are in the court regarding this matter, AAP MLA Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh is unnecessarily interfering in the matter. On March 4, state minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal had promised the Insaf Morcha that he was trying to settle the matter soon and said that the challan in the case would be presented by March 31, which has not yet been presented.
