CM Exhorts Industrialists To Set Up Their Units In Rural Areas Of State 

Jalandhar News: With an aim to give a major push to the industrial development of the state especially in the Rural areas and generate employment for youth, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday exhorted the industrialists to set their units in rural areas of the state.

Addressing the gathering during Sarkaar Sannatkaar Milni here today, the Chief Minister said that it is the need of hour to promote industry in the rural areas. He said that it will serve the twin motives as it will give impetus to industrial development on one hand and open new vistas of employment for rural youth on the other. Bhagwant Singh Mann assured fulsome support and cooperation to the industrialists opting for setting up their units in these hubs adding that the state government is fully committed to accelerate industrialist development in Punjab.
The Chief Minister lauded Arvind Kejriwal for leaving the coveted post of IRS for the sake of serving the masses. He said that Arvind Kejriwal has always served the poor and underprivileged sections for the sake of the welfare of the poor. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Delhi Chief Minister formed the AAP out of the crusade against corruption that was launched from Ram Leela Maidan in Delhi.


The Chief Minister said that Arvind Kejriwal is connected with the masses from heart and at the ground level. He said that due to strenuous efforts of Delhi Chief Minister AAP is a today a national party in the country. Bhagwant Singh Mann the sole motive of Delhi Chief Minister is to serve the people with missionary zeal.
The Chief Minister said that the state government will set up convention centre at Jalandhar. He said that the centre will set up at a place which is near the airport and railway station so that industrialists are facilitated. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that every effort will be made for promotion of industries in the state.
The Chief Minister said that it is matter of great pride and satisfaction that Punjab leads the country in MSME sector. He said that 2.75 lakh MSMEs had been registered by Punjab which is highest so far in the country. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the MSME play a major role in socio economic progress of the state and the country.
Making a scathing attack on the opposition parties, the Chief Minister said that those who were living in palatial houses during their heydays of power have been ousted from the political scene of the state. He said that the state has witnessed the dawn of a new era as these people who were considered invincible have been shown the door by the people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that due to this a change has been witnessed in Punjab and for the first time people centric decisions have acquired centre-stage in the process of governance.
The Chief Minister said that the people of the state are fed up from the experienced politicians who had used the powers for the sake of their vested interests. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders are always befooled the common man due to which they were rejected by the people. He said that the incumbent government may not be having experience to loot the people but we certainly have experience to serve the masses by constructing hospitals, schools and others.
The Chief Minister said that during the previous regimes people used to be scared of success as the leaders used to put share in their ventures. He said that these leaders looted the masses especially the successful industrialists. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that several restrictions were imposed on industrialists and then also they were branded as thieves by previous state governments.
The Chief Minister said that now the state has industrial friendly government with real single window system. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this system was earlier a sham as no one utilised it in real sense. He said earlier the MoU were signed with families but now with the state and its people.
The Chief Minister said that due to concerted efforts of the state government supply of coal from Pachwara coal mine that was stopped has been resumed after 2015. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that earlier governments had stalled supply from this coal mine to mint money illegally from the private thermal plants. He said that industry is being provided uninterrupted power even during the paddy season.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed for making Punjab a a hub of industry in the country. He said that the state is facing severe issue due to financial irregularities by the previous governments. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Union government has stalled the funds of RDF of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is fighting vehemently for safeguarding the interests of the state. He cited the decision of the Union government to provide coal to state via rail ship rail and said that this decision was taken back after the protest by state government. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this is injustice against the state which will be opposed.
The Chief Minister said that the state government will construct exclusive sub stations for providing power to the industry. He said that it will go a long way in giving much needed impetus to the industry in the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it is the need of hour for promoting economic activity in the state.
The Chief Minister said that contrary to the other parties who make tall promises to people in manifestos, the AAP has given guarantees to people which are being fulfilled. He said that the guarantees in sector of health, education, power and others have been delivered to people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that even those guarantees which were not promised to people have also been delivered and executed.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is working on a policy to utilise the CSR funds for development of focal points. Likewise, he said that Police posts are being created in focal points and industrial areas to maintain law and order. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state government has done unprecedented work in last 18 months as compared to more than 70 years of previous governments.

On the occasion Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann welcomed the dignitaries.

Chief Secretary Punjab Anurag Verma gave brief presentation about the industrial development in the state during last 18 months of the tenure of the state government.
