Farmers march to Delhi: Haryana seals borders with Punjab, traffic diverted

Chandigarh: Patiala Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmad Parray stated that in light of the announcement made by the Samyuktkisan Morcha to march to Delhi on February 13, the Haryana Police has instructed traffic bound for Ambala via the Shambhu toll plaza to utilize an alternate route starting from the morning of February 10.

Quoting a letter from the Ambala SSP, the Deputy Commissioner mentioned that the Ambala Police has recommended that traffic between Ambala and Delhi take an alternative route.

The traffic from Shambhu to Ambala can be diverted via the Shambhu-Rajpura-Banur Airport Road-Derabassi-Ambala-Delhi route, or alternatively, the Shambhu-Rajpura-Banur-Panchkula-Nada Sahib-Barwala-Sahajadpur-Saha-Shahabad-Delhi route.

Additionally, commuters may opt for the Rajpura-Patiala-Pehowa-Kurukshetra-Delhi route or the Rajpura-Patiala-Pehowa-152D Expressway-Rohtak-Delhi route. Commuters traveling to Ambala-Delhi via the Patiala-Rajpura-Shambhu route from February 10 onwards have been advised to use the aforementioned alternative routes until further notice.
