Last rites of Martyr Colonel Manpreet Singh at village Bharaunjian in Mohali today 

Punjab News: The mortal remains of Colonel Manpreet Singh, who was martyred while commanding the 19 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Battalion in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag, will be cremated with state honours at his native Bharaunjian village near Mullanpur, Mohali, at 2 pm today. 
A contingent of the Indian Army reached the village with the body of the martyred Colonel wrapped in the tricolor.
        The mortal remains of the martyred Colonel reached the Kaman Hospital in Chandimandir by airlift yesterday, which has been brought to village Bhadojian after paying homage today and the body will be kept here for the darshan of the family and the people for some time. 
After this, army officers, representatives of the Punjab government and the dignitaries of the area will pay tribute. This will be followed by the last rites with state honours at village Bhadrojian. 
       Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and ministers are expected to attend the funeral.
