Number of pending court cases be brought down to zero: Lal Chand Kataruchak

Punjab News: The Punjab Government led by the Chief Minister had vowed to undertake every possible step for the welfare of all sections of the society on assuming office one year ago. As part of this, the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department must ensure that there should not be any delay in the process of giving jobs to the kin of the deceased employees.

These views were expressed here today at Anaj Bhawan in Sector 39 by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Mr. Lal Chand Kataruchak while chairing a meeting to review the functioning of the department.

The Minister further pointed out that steps must be initiated to implement on ground level the policy decisions taken in the meetings convened for more improvement in the functioning of the department and each task should be completed with emphasis on the transparency factor. He warned that malpractices would not be tolerated.

In view of the impending wheat season, the Minister said that the Health Department should be approached for providing the first aid facilities in the mandis.

Among others present on the occasion included the Director Ghanshyam Thori, AMD Pungrain Parampal Kaur Sidhu and Joint Directors Dr. Anjuman Bhaskar and Ajayveer Singh Sarao.
