Punjab Cabinet to meet in Mansa today to approve procurement of Goindwal thermal plant

Punjab News: The Punjab Cabinet will meet at 2 pm today in Mansa under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. In this meeting, which is being held as a sequel to your doorstep, the state government can take a decision on convening a special session of the Assembly.
Though the agenda of the meeting has not been announced, it is believed that after the implementation of the Anand Karaj Amendment Act in Haryana and Rajasthan, a decision can be taken to implement it in Punjab after the implementation of the Anand Karaj Amendment Act in Chandigarh, as in November last year, the Chief Minister had issued instructions to prepare a draft for the implementation of this Act.
Apart from this, the government is going to bid through PSPCL to buy the 540 MW Goindwal Thermal Power Plant, which requires cabinet approval. The cabinet meeting is also likely to approve a proposal for premature release of four life convicts. In the last meeting, it was decided to bring a proposal in this regard.
