Sikh bodies should take concrete steps for release of Bandi Singhs: Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh

Amritsar News: Bandi Chhor Diwas was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm at Sri Harmandir Sahib. On this occasion, the sangats of the country and abroad paid obeisance and expressed reverence and respect for Guru Sahib.
During the gurmat ceremonies held at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall on the occasion of Bandi Chhor Diwas, the famous ragi, dhadi, kavishar jathas, preachers and poets of the Panth shared with the sangat through Gurbani Kirtan and history.
On this occasion, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, while giving a message to the Sikh Panth from the Darshani Diori of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, said that the central government should withdraw the notification to cancel the death sentence of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, who has been in the jail for the last 17 years, and not to release the prisoners who have completed their sentences.  Even after 39 years, the perpetrators of the November 1984 anti-Sikh riots have not been punished and the Sikh community has not been united for their rights while talking about the political differences of the central government with Punjab.
