Won’t give even a drop of water to Haryana: Sukhbir Singh Badal

Punjab News: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Friday hit out at the Punjab government and said that Punjab wants to give Punjab’s water to Haryana at the behest of Kejriwal, but even if they have to sacrifice their lives, they will not allow Punjab’s water to be given to anyone else at any cost.
Talking to reporters after meeting Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit, Sukhbir Singh Badal said that when there was an Emergency in the country, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had ordered the construction of this canal to give water to Haryana by force, but even then the Akali Dal had put up a front on it and even now the SAD will fight every battle to save Punjab’s water.
Sukhbir Singh Badal said Kejriwal needs Punjab’s water as he knows very well that the people of Delhi will not vote for AAP next time, so the AAP supremo’s eyes are now on capturing Haryana.
“I want to make it clear to Bhagwant Mann and Kejriwal that not a single drop of water will be allowed to go out of Punjab. We have come to tell the Governor that a chief minister who is hell-bent on destroying Punjab is not fit to be the chief minister,” he said.
