Riyadh: India has advised its nationals living in Saudi Arabia to remain indoors in the event of air raids, follow instructions issued by local authorities and avoid sharing videos or news related to the ongoing developments.
The advisory, issued by the Indian embassy in Riyadh on Wednesday, comes amid heightened tensions in the Gulf region following reported drone and missile attacks by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels targeting civilian infrastructure.
In a post on X, the embassy urged Indian nationals to continue following local authorities’ instructions, take shelter indoors during air raids and refrain from circulating footage or news related to the current situation.
The embassy also provided an update on Indian nationals injured in an attack at Riyadh airport on October 10. It said two people remained in the intensive care unit (ICU), while another patient had been moved out of intensive care.
Four other Indian nationals were receiving treatment in general wards, while one person had been discharged from hospital, the embassy said.
