Commissionerate Police Jalandhar Tightens Grip Against Drugs: 07 Accused Arrested with 28.05 Grams of Heroin

Jalandhar News (September 5): As part of its zero tolerance policy against drugs, the Commissionerate Police Jalandhar carried out strict anti-drug operations across various police stations. During these, 07 individuals involved in drug-related activities were arrested, and a total of 28.05 grams of heroin was recovered.

Sharing the details, Commissioner of Police Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur, IPS, said that under the ongoing anti-drug campaign initiated by the Punjab Government, several raids were conducted at different locations in the city. These efforts led to the arrest of 07 individuals, against whom 06 FIRs under the NDPS Act have been registered. The recoveries made during these arrests included 28.05 grams of heroin.

She further informed that, alongside curbing drug supply, rehabilitation measures are also being emphasized. In this regard, 12 individuals trapped in drug addiction have been admitted to de-addiction centers for proper treatment and recovery.

CP Jalandhar emphasized that the campaign against drugs will continue with full force and that more stringent measures will be taken in the coming days to eliminate the menace of drugs from the city.
