High Court seeks Punjab govt’s reply on Bikram Majithia’s bail plea

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday directed the Punjab government to file its response within two weeks on the anticipatory bail plea of former minister and Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia.

Justice Tribhuvan Dahiya passed the order while hearing Majithia’s petition in connection with a case registered under the BNS sections at the Civil Lines police station in Amritsar on July 31.

The bench also issued notice to the state government for September 23.
