Jalandhar News (Pawan Dhupar): Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal on Monday directed the Employees State Insurance (ESI) Hospital in Jalandhar to ensure top-class healthcare services to all beneficiaries registered under the ESI scheme.
Chairing a review meeting with the management, the Deputy Commissioner said that the majority of the workforce covered under the scheme depends on ESI hospitals and dispensaries for their medical needs. He instructed the Medical Superintendent of Jalandhar ESI Hospital Dr. Vandana Sagar to ensure that all essential medical services remain fully available at their respective facilities.
Dr. Aggarwal further asked the ESI management to immediately take up the issue of manpower shortage, if any, with the Punjab Government so that uninterrupted healthcare services can be delivered. He also directed the hospital authorities to tie up with the Civil Hospital and the District Red Cross Society to provide ambulance services for beneficiaries in case of emergencies.
Reiterating the Punjab Government’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare across all sections of society, the Deputy Commissioner said that regular reviews of medical facilities will be conducted to monitor service standards and address gaps promptly.
He emphasized that no compromise would be tolerated in extending timely and efficient medical care to ESI beneficiaries.
