New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said he was fortunate to witness the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
To mark the occasion, the Prime Minister released a special postal stamp and coin commemorating 100 years of the organisation.
PM Modi said the 100-year journey of the RSS was an extraordinary example of sacrifice, selfless service, nation building and discipline. “Our generation of ‘swayam sevaks’ is fortunate that they are witnessing the centenary year of RSS,” he said.
The Prime Minister added that since its inception, the RSS has focused on nation building. He said the organisation works across different sections of society without contradictions, guided by the principle of “Nation First.”
