Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak distributes Rs. 1.54 Crore as compensation to flood ravaged people of 7 villages

Compensation to 21 villages under Bhoa constituency disbursed before Diwali

Pathankot News (Pawan Dhupar): The Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs, Forest and Wildlife Preservation Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak today in a function at village in Pathankot, distributed cheques of compensation worth Rs. 1.54 Crore to the 7 villages falling under Bhoa constituency namely Ismailpur, Lasian, Rajpur Jattan, Shahpur, Jainpur Kukkar, Taash & Kajley.

In his address on the occasion, the Minister said that 82 villages of Bhoa constituency were affected by the floods. It is the commitment of the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann that the compensation with regard to crop damage should reach the affected people before Diwali. In keeping with that commitment, 21 village Panchayats falling under Bhoa constituency have been provided with the compensation. In the coming days, rest of the villages would also be given compensation cheques.

Among others present on the occasion included the District President BC Wing Naresh Saini, Block President Pawan Fauji, Circle President Sohan Singh, and Sarpanch of Taash village Gurmej Singh.
