CBI seeks 12-day remand of middleman in former DIG Bhullar case

Chandigarh: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an application in a special court in Chandigarh seeking a 12-day remand for questioning Krishna, the middleman arrested in connection with former Ropar range DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar. The court has scheduled the next hearing for October 28.

During the investigation, the CBI discovered that Krishna had links with several other senior officers. The agency intends to question him about these connections as part of the ongoing probe.

Earlier, on October 16, the CBI arrested a youth for allegedly extorting Rs 8 lakh from a scrap dealer in the name of DIG Bhullar.

Following this, Harcharan Singh Bhullar was also taken into custody. The CBI recovered Rs 7.5 crore in cash and 2.5 kg of gold ornaments from various locations linked to the case.
