Punjab News: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for a cold wave in Punjab and Chandigarh for the next three days. Several areas may also experience fog. During the past 24 hours, the state’s minimum temperature has risen by 0.6°C, bringing it closer to normal levels.
Pathankot and Bathinda remained the coldest places, recording a minimum temperature of 4.4°C. Currently, there is no rainfall warning.
According to the IMD, the weather will remain dry across the state today. Cold wave conditions are expected in some areas of Faridkot, Ferozepur, Muktsar, Fazilka, Moga, and Jalandhar. Temperatures may drop further in the coming days. A western disturbance is active over northern Pakistan at an altitude of around 3 km.
