FIR against Badshah over ‘Tatiri’ song, Panchkula police begin process for look-out circular

Chandigarh: Haryana Police have taken action against singer and rapper Badshah over alleged objectionable content in his recently released song “Tatiri”.

According to police, an FIR has been registered at the Cyber Police Station in Sector 20, Panchkula. Authorities have also initiated the process to issue a look-out circular (LOC) against the singer to prevent him from leaving the country during the investigation.

The case has been registered under Section 296 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986.

Police said the video allegedly shows school-uniformed minor girls throwing their school bags and running away from studies, while certain words used in the song are claimed to portray schools and women in an objectionable manner.

Investigators have also found that a bus belonging to Haryana Roadways from the Jind depot appears in the video. Authorities are checking whether permission was obtained from the concerned department to use the bus in the shoot.

The video also features a government school campus, and police are verifying whether filming permission was taken from the competent authority. If the premises were used without approval, action may be taken against those responsible.

Panchkula Police have issued a formal notice asking the singer to appear before investigators. Multiple teams have been formed to trace him, and raids are being conducted at various locations.

Meanwhile, the police said the controversial song has been removed from the singer’s official YouTube channel, and notices have been sent to social media platforms to take down related videos and reels. Authorities warned that anyone found sharing or promoting the objectionable content online could face legal action.
