AAP has strongest organisation in Punjab, with karyakartas in every village & every home: CM Bhagwant Singh Mann

Punjab E News (29 April 2026): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab projected confidence and organisational strength by convening a routine observers’ meeting in Punjab involving nearly 1,000 party observers deployed across villages, wards and constituencies. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann and Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia reviewed grassroots outreach, strengthened coordination, and sent a clear message that AAP’s real strength lies in its workers, governance record and deep connect with the people.
Addressing the observers’ meeting through video conferencing, Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated, “This interaction is a routine organisational exercise and recent media speculation around it is baseless. I thank all observers, who are the backbone and roots of the party. The Aam Aadmi Party has one of the strongest organisational structures in the country, where leaders remain constantly connected with people at the grassroots.”
Highlighting governance decisions, he continued, “Every decision taken by the AAP government has been pro people and not a single policy has gone against public interest. Whatever service we have been able to render is by the grace of the Almighty and the blessings of Guru Sahib. The Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Bill, 2026 reflects our commitment to respecting the sentiments of the people. People are celebrating this step not just in Punjab but even abroad, and NRIs are also expressing happiness and appreciation. Farmers in Punjab are satisfied with the availability of ample electricity during daytime and with improved canal water supply reaching tail end areas. For the first time, canal water distribution will begin from May 1.”
Urging outreach among the public, Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Observers must actively communicate these achievements to the people. They are a vital bridge between the government and the public. The defection of seven MPs does not affect the strength of the party. If a few drops are taken out of the ocean, it does not impact the ocean. The party is much larger than any individual. The people of Punjab have always stood firmly with the Aam Aadmi Party.”
He further said, “Whenever the Aam Aadmi Party has faced any challenge, Punjabis have stood firm like flag bearers. In 2014, when the party contested across the country, Punjab gave it representation. In 2019, even during tough times, Punjab ensured the party’s presence in Parliament.”
Thanking the people and citing expansion, the Punjab CM emphasised, “Always thank the people and stay connected with them, because everything the party has is because of them. In Gujarat, the party has achieved significant success in local body elections, winning hundreds of seats. In tribal areas, the party has made historic gains. In Punjab, we have over 10,000 sarpanches, and a few individuals leaving cannot weaken such a strong organisation.”
“I urge leaders to take this message to the villages and share these developments with the people, as you are the representatives who go to the grassroots. You understand the real problems of people better than anyone else, and you should bring those issues to the government so they can be resolved,” he asserted.
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann continued, “The organisation is bigger than any individual, so all of you should go to villages and talk to people. Wherever you want to take me, I am ready to come. I will also start visiting villages regularly. We will sit among people, not in tents or formal setups, but under trees, just like we used to in earlier times.”
Referring to the upcoming census, he added, “Encourage people to register Punjabi as their mother tongue, as several decisions depend on census data and this is crucial. After the Assembly session, I will visit different villages every evening where we will sit together and discuss issues directly. We are not leaders who step out based on temperature. Whether it is extreme heat or cold, we will continue working among the people.”
Issuing a message to party workers, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “We are soldiers of Arvind Kejriwal and our training has been tough. We have passed many tests. Time may test us again, but the presence of workers here shows their commitment. There is no need to test their loyalty because they have already proven it. Your presence today has strengthened my resolve. We are not just writing history, we are shaping the future. Other parties are still deciding faces and leadership, but for us, each one of you is a leader, a general, a soldier of change. Stay motivated, stay united, and keep working with the same energy.”
Meanwhile, senior AAP leader and Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia stated, “The Aam Aadmi Party has a strong grassroots structure. Observers have been appointed for every 15 villages or wards across Punjab. These observers regularly interact with residents and serve as a crucial link between the people, the party and the government.”
Explaining the review process, he continued, “Meetings with observers are held every three to four months, and today’s meeting reviewed the work done over the past four months. During the previous meeting in February, observers were assigned specific tasks, including outreach at village and ward level and engagement with organisational members. They successfully conducted one to one meetings with nearly 2.5 lakh volunteers. Many observers spent one or even two days in villages to connect deeply with workers and understand local issues. Today’s meeting also reviewed this exercise and discussed future strategy.”
Describing the role of observers, the AAP Punjab Chief added, “Their primary responsibility is to understand people’s concerns, bring them before the party and the government, and ensure that grassroots workers remain connected with governance. This bridge between the government and local workers is key to the success of the Aam Aadmi Party. The strength of the Aam Aadmi Party lies in the vision of Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Singh Mann, combined with the dedication of workers at the village level.”
He asserted, “AAP workers are highly motivated not because of any individuals, but because of the government’s performance. They draw motivation from visible improvements in education, healthcare, employment, roads and welfare for farmers. The work done by the AAP in these sectors over the last four years is more than what previous governments could not achieve even in 75 to 80 years. AAP MLAs remain in constant touch with the people who elected them, have worked tirelessly over the last four years, and will continue to do so in the coming year.”
