Ludhiana: With an eye on the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stepped up its organisational efforts in the state. BJP national president Nitin Nabin arrived in Ludhiana on Sunday to hold discussions with party leaders and workers on strengthening the organisation and preparing an electoral roadmap for Punjab.
Party workers accorded a warm welcome to Nabin upon his arrival. He later inaugurated the BJP’s new office building in Ludhiana and participated in a series of meetings focused on organisational expansion and election preparedness.
According to party leaders, the interaction programme includes workers considered the backbone of the organisation, ranging from mandal-level office-bearers to senior state leadership. Leaders who have previously contested elections have also been invited to take part in the discussions.
BJP workers welcomed the national president at Jalandhar Bypass Chowk before accompanying him in a convoy to the venue. Following the inauguration of the new office building, Nabin was scheduled to address party workers and leaders and discuss strategies aimed at strengthening the BJP’s presence across Punjab.
The visit is being seen as part of the BJP leadership’s broader push to consolidate the party’s organisation in the state ahead of future electoral battles.
