Mumbai: Veteran actor Pradeep Rawat, known for his memorable roles in films including Lagaan and Ghajini, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 74 after battling cancer.
The news of his demise was shared by actor Yashpal Sharma, who worked with Rawat in Lagaan. Sharma paid tribute to the late actor through a post on Instagram.
According to a media report, Rawat’s manager Siddharth Tiwari confirmed his death and said the actor’s cancer had returned. He had been undergoing treatment in hospital for the past month.
Pradeep Rawat was widely recognised for portraying powerful antagonist roles across Hindi and South Indian cinema. His performances in several films earned him appreciation from audiences over the years.
