VHP backs CJP-led student protest over paper leaks, calls movement justified

New Delhi: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), an organisation affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has extended support to the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)-led student protest at Jantar Mantar, saying the agitation reflected the genuine concerns of students affected by examination paper leaks.

In an interview, VHP International President Alok Kumar said the paper leak issue had crushed the aspirations of students and described the movement as a legitimate expression of their anger and expectations.

His remarks come after the Delhi government decided to withdraw FIRs against protesters who did not have any prior criminal record.

Alok Kumar said the paper leak issue was no longer confined to examinations alone but had severely affected the future of millions of students and young people across the country.

He added that the issues raised by the students and their protest were fully justified, as repeated paper leaks had not only compromised the integrity of examinations but had also dealt a serious blow to the aspirations and careers of young candidates.
