Delhi LG slams Arvind Kejriwal in open letter, AAP hits back
New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Tuesday has written an open letter to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is in jail in the liquor scam case.
In the letter, the LG wrote that his ministers have got into the habit of blaming officials for their mistake,” stressing that he had to write an open letter as “direct communication with him” is not possible under the present circumstances”.
He also accused the AAP government of cheating people by “dreaming of free water”.
“Instead of fixing the unjust water supply, you and your ministers created the idea of free water. You and your minister have mastered the art of deceiving people,” LG told Kejriwal.
The Aam Aadmi Party was quick to respond to the letter and accused the LG of encouraging officials to obstruct the work of the Delhi Jal Board.
Atishi, a minister in the Kejriwal government, said, “The Lieutenant Governor is responsible for stopping the work of DJB. He encourages officials to do so. Despite repeated requests, no action was taken against the officials. “
