Disproportionate assets: Former minister Gurpreet Kangar denied permission to travel to Canada 

New Delhi: Former minister and senior BJP leader Gurpreet Singh Kangar was stopped from travelling to Canada from the Indira Gandhi International Airport here as a look-out circular (LOC) was issued against him by the Vigilance Bureau.
    Therfore, he was not allowed to go abroad. However, he was not arrested as no case has been registered against him yet.
    The Vigilance Bureau had initiated a probe against Gurpreet Singh Kangar in the disproportionate assets case in the first week of January. After this, he was summoned for questioning by the Vigilance Bureau but he was not joining the interrogation.
    At one point, he had argued that his health was not good. He has undergone surgery on his knees. In such a situation, until he is fully fit, he should be given relief from interrogation. He had sent his medical attention to the vigilance.
