DM orders ban on use of drones within 500 meters radius of central Jail

Kapurthala: District Magistrate Captain Karnail Singh has ordered the ban on use of any type of drone, unmanned aerial vehicle, remote controlled micro light air craft within a radius of 500 meter of Central Jail Kapurthala.

According to the orders it has been said that “use of drones near the central jail may be used by anti social elements for carrying mobiles, weapons with an aim to help out the prisoners to escape from Jail .

Keeping in view that these ban orders have been issued till 23-09-2023.

It’s also made it clear that these order will not apply to drones used for security by Police, Indian Army etc.

Besides that a complete ban on public display of weapons within the district has also been ordered by the DM. The ban will also be effective on display of weapons on social media.

DM Captain Karnail Singh , under the orders said that
“In accordance with the instructions issued by the Punjab government to maintain law and order in the state, these ban orders have been issued.

Apart from this, there will be a complete ban on carrying and displaying weapons in public gatherings, religious places, wedding parties or other events.

Prohibition will also apply to hate speech against any community. These orders will remain in force till 23-09-2023.
