Farmer’s protest enters fourth day: Delhi-Jammu national highway and railway tracks closed in Jalandhar

Jalandhar News: The railway track along the Delhi-Jammu National Highway in Jalandhar, Punjab, is now closed. Today is the fourth day of the farmers’ protest.  Farmers are sitting on the road demanding an increase in the rate of sugarcane and other demands. On the other hand, the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab has not yet taken any initiative to hold talks with the farmers.
Hundreds of people are troubled by highway and railway track jams. The farmers have blocked the railway track and national highway near Dhannowali Phatak, some distance away from PAP Chowk, while heading towards Ludhiana. However, the service lane of the highway was opened by the farmers late at night. After which the traffic started running smoothly.
