Rohtak: As the investigation into the murder of former state-level tennis player Radhika Yadav progresses, a new detail has emerged, adding to the mystery surrounding her last days. According to a media report, Radhika had deactivated her Instagram account shortly after the release of her romantic music video.
The music video, titled “Karwaan,” was released in 2024, featuring Radhika alongside actor and singer Inam ul Haq. It is claimed that Radhika’s father, Deepak Yadav, had given permission for the shoot. On Thursday, Deepak allegedly shot dead his daughter at their home in Gurugram.
Inam said he noticed Radhika’s Instagram account had been deactivated after the video’s release and contacted her. Radhika replied that she was busy with work and had temporarily closed her account.
The singer also revealed that he travelled to Delhi specifically to shoot the video with Radhika, which took place in the presence of her mother.
“I shot for five hours with Radhika in Delhi. During the shoot, I came to know that she was interested in acting. She had only taken the conveyance amount,” he said.
Police now believe the music video may have been a source of tension between Radhika and her father. Inam, however, has denied any connection with Radhika’s murder and said he had no contact with her after the shoot.
In a statement to media, Inam said he first met Radhika during the Tennis Premier League in Delhi and later collaborated with her for the music video, after which they went their separate ways.
He also dismissed social media rumours about a personal relationship with Radhika, calling them “baseless and blatant lies.”
