Chandigarh: Balkaur Singh Sidhu, father of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, recently underwent treatment for a heart-related ailment in Jaipur after complaining of chest pain and anxiety.
According to reports, Balkaur Singh was admitted to Rajasthan Hospital in Jaipur, where doctors performed an angioplasty procedure. He was discharged from the hospital on Friday after his condition improved.
Sources said he had been experiencing chest pain for the past few days and had initially consulted doctors at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh. However, after not getting sufficient relief, the family decided to seek further treatment in Jaipur.
Senior cardiologist Dr Ravindra Singh Rao supervised his medical examination and treatment. Detailed investigations reportedly revealed a blockage in one of his heart arteries, following which doctors immediately decided to carry out angioplasty.
The procedure was successfully completed by a team of specialists, and doctors confirmed that his health condition has been steadily improving since then.
During the treatment, his wife Charan Kaur and other family members, including Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu’s relatives, remained present at the hospital.
Hospital sources said Balkaur Singh is currently stable and has been advised complete rest along with regular medical check-ups.
