New Delhi: Amid a row over US President Donald Trump’s decision to impose a 50 per cent tariff on imports from India, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today described India’s economy as the world’s “dashing and dynamic” economy.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Rail Coach Unit of Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) in Raisen, Singh said some countries with a “we are everyone’s boss” attitude are unable to accept India’s rapid growth.
“They think we are the bosses of all and how is India moving so fast? Many are trying to ensure that handmade goods made in India become so expensive in global markets that people around the world cannot afford them,” he said.
Singh asserted that no power in the world can stop India from becoming a major global force as it continues to move forward at a rapid pace.
