Independence Day: Deputy Commissioner hoists the tricolor during full dress rehearsal, reviewes arrangements

Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond will hoist the national flag on August 15 

Jalandhar News: In view of the 79th Independence Day, a full dress rehearsal for the district-level event was held on August 13 at the local Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, where Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal hoisted the national flag.
 
The Deputy Commissioner inspected the parade and saluted the march past led by Parade Commander Sarvanjit Singh. The parade included ITBP, Punjab Police (male and female), Punjab Home Guards, Punjab Battalion NCC boys, Punjab Battalion NCC girls, and the CRPF band.
 
Afterward, tableaux depicting the Punjab Government’s developmental policies and achievements of various departments were displayed. During the rehearsal, students from various schools also presented mass PT shows, along with cultural performances showcasing patriotism by students from different educational institutions.
 
Following the rehearsal, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal accompanied by Commissioner of Police Dhanpreet Kaur, held a detailed discussion with civil and district police officers, providing necessary directions to ensure the smooth and organized conduct of the district-level event, where Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond will hoist the tricolor as Chief Guest. He emphasized that all the essential arrangements, including security, traffic, and parking, should be well-coordinated.
 
Dr. Aggarwal also mentioned that during the district-level event, families of freedom fighters, martyrs, and officers/employees from various departments who have demonstrated outstanding performance will be honored. 
 
Additionally, the best tableau will also be selected for reward.The Deputy Commissioner assured that the administration would leave no stone unturned in celebrating this sacred day with full enthusiasm and patriotism.
 
Present on this occasion were Joint Police Commissioner Sandeep Sharma, DCP Naresh Dogra, ADC Jasbir Singh, ADC Amaninder Kaur Brar, along with officers from various departments.
