London: Several airports across Europe were hit by cyber attacks on Saturday, disrupting check-in and boarding systems and causing widespread flight delays and cancellations.
London’s Heathrow Airport officials said the disruption stemmed from a technical problem in the Collins Aerospace software, which manages check-in and boarding for multiple airlines at airports worldwide.
Brussels Airport and Berlin Airport were also among those affected. Authorities said efforts are underway to restore normal operations and investigate the source of the attack.
