CM Mann takes a jibe at PM Modi while launching entrepreneurship course in Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the Prime Minister has now become “someone who has not read books and is looking for a degree.” Mann quipped that if there were an exam paper for the Prime Minister’s position, “all of us would have given the paper.”

The Chief Minister made these remarks while launching an entrepreneurship course at the Tagore Theatre in Chandigarh. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also present at the event.

Mann said that the state government is focusing on nurturing young entrepreneurs by introducing a new entrepreneurship and personality development course for college students. “We are starting this to shape business ideas. Under this initiative, students will be trained to start their own startups,” he said.

An application has also been developed to provide training and guidance for various business ventures, including cloud kitchens and other startup models. “The use of this app has already started,” Mann said, adding that Punjab’s land is fertile and that anyone who works hard here “will never go hungry.”
