Tarn Taran Election News: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Tarn Taran constituency, Harmeet Singh Sandhu, launched a blistering attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of constantly betraying Punjab, its farmers, and its people. Sandhu said that the BJP has a long history of deceit and discrimination towards Punjab, and every promise made by them has turned out to be a cruel joke on the state’s hardworking people.
Sandhu said that the BJP first stabbed the farmers in the back by imposing the draconian farm laws that would have handed agriculture over to corporates. “The BJP called farmers traitors and terrorists when they protested peacefully for their rights. Over 750 farmers lost their lives in the struggle, yet not a word of apology or remorse came from the BJP leadership. This party has blood on its hands,” Sandhu declared.
He further said that the BJP continues to discriminate against Punjab by denying the state its rightful share of funds and water. “Whether it is the SYL canal issue, the pending rural development funds, or the GST dues, BJP has deliberately tried to weaken Punjab economically. Their politics is built on lies, division, and exploitation,” he said.
The AAP candidate added that the BJP’s anti-farmer and anti-Punjab policies have now been completely exposed, and no propaganda can hide their betrayal. “The people of Punjab understand everything. They will teach the BJP a lesson in every election until this arrogant and anti-Punjab party is wiped out from the state,” he asserted.
Sandhu urged voters to stand united with Aam Aadmi Party and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, who are working tirelessly to safeguard farmers’ interests, restore Punjab’s glory, and ensure that the state’s voice is never silenced again.
