Kapurthala News: As part of the celebrations organized for the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal reviewed the preparations for the “Shaheedi Shatabdi Yatra” reaching Kapurthala on November 21. He went with the officers and personally inspected the route from Goindwal Sahib bridge to Kapurthala city.
He reviewed the welcoming of the Yatra when it will enter Kapurthala district from the bridge built over the Beas River near Goindwal Sahib, the presentation of guard of honour by the police contingent in honor of the Yatra, etc.
Deputy Commissioner said that keeping in mind the dignity and religious importance of the Yatra, every officer/employee should perform his duty with a sense of service. He said that cleanliness and other necessary arrangements on the Yatra route should be completed on priority basis.
Deputy Commissioner said that this Yatra will enter Jalandhar via Goindwal Sahib, Mundi Mor, Ucha, Parvez Nagar and Kapurthala via Kartarpur. On November 22, it will leave Jalandhar via Phagwara and then to Banga.
Meanwhile, SSP Gaurav Toora said that while the Yatra of “Shaheedi Shatabdi Yatra” is to be welcomed by the district administration and religious organizations, a guard of honour will also be presented to the Yatra at Mundi Morh by a contingent of Punjab Police. He said that during the yatra, elaborate arrangements will be made for langars at Mundi Morh , Ucha, Parvez Nagar villages and Kapurthala bus stand for the Sangat. The Commissioner Municipal Corporation has also been instructed to take full care of the cleanliness in the city.
He also asked the police administration to ensure smooth traffic, security and complete arrangements for parking. The Health Department has also been ordered to deploy medical teams and ambulances.
