Chandigarh: Gangster Anmol Bishnoi, the main accused in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, has been deported from the United States and is likely to arrive in India on Wednesday, a police official said.
The official said that Bishnoi is also wanted in the April 2024 firing incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence and is expected to reach Delhi on Tuesday. Mumbai Police had earlier sent two proposals seeking his extradition.
Several criminal cases are registered against Bishnoi across the country. Officials said the central government will decide which agency will take his custody first.
Investigative agencies recently received information that Bishnoi had been detained in Canada before his deportation.
