Passport Adalat resolves over 240 pending cases in Jalandhar

Jalandhar News: The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Jalandhar on Wednesday successfully organised a Passport Adalat to facilitate applicants whose passport cases were pending for various reasons. The special camp was held at the Regional Passport Office premises and witnessed participation of around 300 applicants belonging to different categories.

Regional Passport Officer Yashpal informed that more than 240 cases were approved and cleared for issuance of passports during the Adalat. These included complex matters related to multiple passports, legal cases, emergency certificates, and changes in personal particulars. He said that necessary action was also initiated in the remaining cases to ensure their early disposal.

Highlighting the objective of the initiative, the RPO said that Passport Adalats and special camps play a crucial role in resolving long-pending cases and providing relief to applicants who face procedural or compliance-related hurdles. He added that the Regional Passport Office, Jalandhar remains committed to delivering citizen-centric, transparent, and hassle-free passport services.

The Regional Passport Officer further stated that such Passport Adalats and special facilitation camps will continue to be organised in the future for the convenience of the public. Applicants whose files are pending for any reason have been advised to visit the Regional Passport Office, Jalandhar between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm on any working day, with or without an online appointment, along with relevant documents, for prompt resolution of their cases.
