Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur visits Punjab Press Club, Jalandhar

Jalandhar: Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur on Tuesday paid a special visit to the Punjab Press Club, Jalandhar, where she was warmly welcomed by the club’s governing council led by president Jaspreet Singh Saini.

Interacting with members of the journalist fraternity, the Police Commissioner discussed issues related to law and order, security arrangements and the need to further strengthen police–press coordination. She said responsible and accurate journalism connected with public interest plays a key role in maintaining trust in society.

Thanking the Police Commissioner for her visit, Punjab Press Club president Jaspreet Singh Saini said the club has always been ready to maintain positive cooperation with the administration. Members of the governing council also shared their views and discussed ways to strengthen police–media relations.

At the end of the interaction, a memento was presented to the Police Commissioner. Senior vice-president Rajesh Thapa, general secretary Puneet Sehgal, vice-presidents Parmjit Singh Rangpuri and Mandeep Sharma, secretary Rajesh Yogi, joint secretary Sukrant Safri, treasurer Shiv Sharma, Madan Bhardwaj and general manager Jatinder Pal Singh were present on the occasion.
