Lab will provide students with opportunities to advance in space science and technology
Phillaur/Jalandhar (March 20: With the aim of providing students with the latest technology and knowledge related to space and science, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal and Vice Chairman of Punjab School Education Board, Mohali, Principal Prem Kumar, today inaugurated a Ultra-modern Space Lab at the School of Eminence, Phillaur.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that this lab will promote students’ interest in science and provide them with opportunities to move ahead in adopting space science and technology as careers. He added that with the establishment of this lab, students will be able to gain knowledge about space, planets, and robotic technology, as well as weather forecasting, communication, and navigation.
Reiterating the commitment of the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to ensure world-class educational facilities to students under the ‘Sikhyia Kranti’, the Deputy Commissioner said that, as per the government’s directions, the administration is making every possible effort to ensure quality education facilities for students in the district.
Dr. Aggarwal also said that today’s era belongs to science and technology, and by choosing space science, new avenues will open up for students’ bright futures.
He added that the establishment of such labs in government schools will provide students with better opportunities to learn and understand in detail about space science. He informed that a similar space lab has also been set up at the School of Eminence, Adampur, which was recently visited by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
He further said that more such space labs will be established in senior secondary schools across the district in the coming days.
Dr. Aggarwal encouraged students to work hard and to continuously strive for success in life. He emphasized that there is no substitute for hard work and that any goal can be achieved through dedication and effort. He motivated students to move forward with determination.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner and Principal Prem Kumar also visited the space lab and interacted with the students.
On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner (UT) Mukilan R., SDM Phillaur Deepak Bhatia, and DEO (Secondary) Dr. Gurinderjit Kaur, Deputy DEO Rajeev Kumar Joshi, Principal School of Eminence Phillaur Tarlok Singh, Chairman SSC Committee Dr. Vaibhav Sharma, Secretary Red Cross Society Surjit Lal, and the entire school staff were present.
