Direct interaction with people under ‘4 Saal Bhagwant Mann de Naal’ campaign
Jalandhar News (March 27): Punjab’s Horticulture, Freedom Fighters and Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat, during a direct interaction with residents of Jalandhar today under the campaign ‘Shaandaar Chaar Saal Bhagwant Mann De Naal’ (Glorious Four Years with Bhagwant Mann), said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has fulfilled every promise made to the people of the state.
Addressing gatherings during separate meetings held in Ward Nos. 42, 44 and 58 here, the Cabinet Minister apprised people of the achievements of four years of the Punjab Government. He said that the people of the state are very happy with the four-year performance of the Punjab Government, as the Mann Government has taken historic decisions during its tenure, providing facilities to the people and transforming key sectors through development initiatives.
Mr. Bhagat said that the Punjab Government has implemented pro-people initiatives such as quality healthcare through Aam Aadmi Clinics, quality education through Schools of Eminence, transformation of schools under the education revolution, boost to sports infrastructure, and provision of cashless treatment up to Rs.10 lakh for every family in the state.
He said that 90 percent of families in the state are receiving 600 units of free electricity. For the first time, farmers are being provided electricity during the daytime and canal water has been supplied to the fields of lakhs of farmers.
He added that the Punjab Government has provided more than 65,000 government jobs to youth in a transparent manner. He further said that to economically empower women, the ‘Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana’ has been implemented, under which provision has been made in this budget to provide Rs.1500 to women of the SC category and Rs.1000 to women of the general category. He also said that the compensation given to families of soldiers martyred while defending the nation has been increased to Rs. One crore.
Under the anti-drug campaign ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’, a large number of traffickers have been arrested. Apart from this, large-scale efforts are being made for the rehabilitation of youth trapped in drug addiction.
Special attention has also been given towards infrastructure development.
Mr. Bhagat said that under the state-level public campaign launched on completion of four years of the Mann Government, the government’s report card is being directly delivered to the people through 16,000 rallies, public meetings and corner meetings. He added that ministers, MLAs, chairpersons, sarpanches, panches, municipal councillors, district presidents and party volunteers are participating in this campaign and reaching every village, street and household with the government’s report card.
It is noteworthy that recently, Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat had also held direct interactions with people in Ward Nos. 52 and 53 of the city under the ‘Shaandaar Chaar Saal Bhagwant Mann De Naal’ campaign.
On this occasion, Councillors Manish Kalroopia, Romy Wadhwa and Raj Kumar Raju, along with Kamal Loch, Ayub Duggal, Onkar Rajiv Tikka and a large number of people were present.
