‘BJP betrayed Punjab’: Bhagwant Mann hits out after AAP MPs quit

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party after several Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MPs reportedly quit the party.

Mann alleged that the BJP had “betrayed the people of Punjab” and was attempting to break AAP after failing to find issues against his government.

He described the MPs who left as “traitors of Punjab” and said their exit would not weaken the party. “AAP is bigger than individuals. The departure of 6–7 leaders does not define Punjab,” he asserted.

The Chief Minister also expressed confidence that the people of Punjab continue to stand firmly with AAP, adding that the party’s organisational structure remains united and strong despite the political setback.
