Chandigarh: Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh, father of ex-India star Yuvraj Singh, has landed in controversy once again after the Chandigarh Police registered a case against him following complaints by two lawyers.
The action has reportedly been initiated over a viral social media video in which objections were raised over the language allegedly used by Yograj Singh.
The Punjab State Women Commission has also taken suo motu notice of the matter.
According to the commission, Yograj Singh allegedly used derogatory and inappropriate language against women during a Punjabi web series that is also available in Hindi.
Controversial clip linked to ‘Lukke’ web series
The disputed clip is said to be from an episode of the Punjabi web series Lukke, which was reportedly released on Amazon Prime Video on May 8, 2026.
Advocate Ujjwal Bhasin has termed the dialogues in the series as contrary to social dignity and demanded legal action against Yograj Singh as well as the makers of the show.

This is not the first time that an actor or public figure has faced allegations over objectionable remarks in digital content.
So far, Yograj Singh has not issued any official clarification or response regarding the controversy.
