Mohali: The Punjab Government will organise a state-level appointment letter distribution ceremony at Vikas Bhawan in Mohali on Tuesday as part of its employment generation initiative.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is scheduled to hand over appointment letters to 523 newly recruited employees of the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the government, the recruits include doctors, paramedical staff, laboratory technicians and other healthcare workers. Officials said the appointments are expected to strengthen public healthcare infrastructure and help address staff shortages in government hospitals and Aam Aadmi Clinics across the state.
The government stated that the addition of new personnel is likely to improve the delivery and quality of healthcare services in both urban and rural areas.
The Chief Minister has repeatedly maintained that government jobs are being provided on the basis of merit and through a transparent recruitment process.
As per official figures released by the state government, a total of 67,040 youth have been appointed to various government departments since the present administration assumed office.
Officials said the recruitment process has been conducted without recommendations or monetary influence, with selections made according to eligibility and merit criteria.
