Fatehabad: A 65-year-old man was killed by his younger brother during a family dispute in Nahala village of Bhuna block on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Raghuvir Singh alias Rodu.
According to police, an argument broke out between Raghuvir Singh and his brother Satvir Singh over a family matter around 10 am, which soon escalated into a scuffle.
During the altercation, Satvir allegedly hit Raghuvir on the head with a stick, causing him to collapse and die on the spot.
After receiving information, police reached the village and shifted the body to CHC Bhuna in an ambulance. Bhuna police station in-charge Surendra said the accused has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
Statements of the family members will be recorded before the postmortem is conducted.
